AIMED TO BUILD BANGLADESH'S FIRST DRIVERLESS CAR! 🇧🇩
Circuit Maesters is a Formula Student team, formed by the students of Ahsanullah University of Science & Technology and Dhaka University (Dept of RME & EEE).
The team was founded in December 2019 and aimed to build Bangladesh’s first driverless car. Ever since, we have been training ourselves and working with the technologies, algorithms and infrastructures. Now we are very close to building one of the most advanced Formula Student cars Bangladesh has ever seen! We have aimed to participate in the Formula Student Artificial Intelligence competition in the upcoming year 2022.

BUILD THE FORMULA
DRIVERLESS CAR
Our car will be able to drive itself without a driver. It will be able to detect static and dynamic objects and take real-time decisions using a powerful AI computer (offline processing). This car is being designed considering the intelligence of level-4 autonomous cars.
The car will have an electric drivetrain system with up to 400V HVL and 12V LVL. Our targeted autonomous performance includes 5 hours continuous battery backup and up to 70kmph autonomous speed. To achieve such high autonomous speed (pretty dangerous without a driver) while making sure safety, we will be using advanced technology high precision high frequency 360 degrees 3D lidar and also a dual camera. Both of them will make sure to continuously localize to be aware of the environment and the surroundings.
PARTICIPATE IN THE FS AI
Formula Student Artificial Intelligence is one of the world’s largest engineering competitions, annually held at the Silverstone UK and organized by the Institute of Mechanical Engineers (iMechE).
The competition requires teams to participate with their self built driverless Formula car. The competition is primarily divided into 2 phase. Static Event and Dynamic Event. The static event assesses the car’s engineering, built quality, safety and team presentation.
Qualifiers from the static event participates in the dynamic event where the cars have to complete different driverless activities (Skidpad, Acceleration, Autocross, Trackdrive).

CREATE “HOW WE MADE IT”
VIDEOS
For the last 2 years (almost), Circuit Maesters has faced a lot of technical problems and struggled to find solutions. We still are struggling with some design problems. Solution available but product not available, or vise versa. Or maybe the product is too expensive for us to be able to afford.
We would not be struggling this much if there were previous driverless car pioneers in Bangladesh who would also help us make our dream car. That is why we believe in sharing knowledge. We believe that it will not harm the team in any way, rather it will help the future teams from Bangladesh to gain confidence and build their Formula driverless cars with less struggles. Maybe we do something wrong? And the future engineers improve it after watching our videos? So that they can make even more awesome car? We are dreamers!
FORM AN AUTONOMOUS
ENGINEERING COMMUNITY
To ensure that Bangladeshi engineering students will keep thriving in the autonomous industry, we will build a community where students from all universities will be able to seek mentorship, and share research resources with each other so that we can grow as a community, rather than just a team.
We will also hold multiple seminars and workshops in different universities to inspire the young students explore this advanced engineering industry. We want Bangladesh to contribute more to the future of autonomy. And that is why we are looking forward to build an amazing community after we build our car. Remember, “The lone wolf dies but the pack survives”.
OUR TEAM
Building a human size self-driving car is not an easy job. It requires a lot of specialization, knowledge, hardworking and lastly, collaboration of multiple engineering disciplines. Since there are tons of working sectors and a lot of team members, we have divided our team into following groups, where each group consists of a group leader.

DONATE TO HELP US ACHIEVE THE DREAM!
Self-driving car is an industry where the engineers have to use sophisticated technologies to make sure that it is safe in every possible way and to try ensuring zero possibility of any accident. These technologies cost very high and sometimes unimaginable.
Most of the formula student teams from first world countries spend more than a crore to research and build the best design with all custom manufactured products (because they have infinite opportunities and investors!). But due to limited resources and insufficient investors/sponsors, we have made our self-driving car budget to only 40 lacs (considering stock components instead of custom). Which budget is still impossible for us (since we all are students with minimum earnings via tutoring) to bear without donations and sponsorship. We have faith that there are amazing people in our country who will be happy to invest on us, and let us set a new engineering standard in our country!
